Buffalo Bills things I'm thankful for in 2017

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the members of Bills Mafia! Around this time of year I always like to reflect on the Buffalo Bills things that I'm thankful for so here goes...

I'm thankful that I'm not "tankfull". I never believed the Bills were deliberately tanking and I'm glad they proved that to be true early this year.

I'm thankful for Steven Hauschka. We have a reliable kicker and we don't even need to waste another roster spot with a kickoff specialist? Somebody pinch me!

I'm thankful that this late in November the Bills are still very much in the playoff mix. I don't care that they have lost three straight and look terrible, all I care about is that you're telling me there's a chance...

I'm thankful for the plethora of draft picks the Bills have in the early rounds of the upcoming draft. The best day to be a Bills fan is on draft day. It's a day of excitement and wonder, like being a kid on Christmas. The best part about draft day is we won't find out that some of our new "toys" are defective until the season starts so on draft day, they are all amazing.

I'm thankful that Tyrod Taylor is the starter again for the Bills. I believe he deserves to keep that job until they are eliminated from playoff contention. As the talented Michael Jackson once said, you wanna be startin' somethin' and for me, that somethin' is Taylor.

I'm thankful that Sean McDermott tried to start Nathan Peterman. Not because I liked the move but because that decision reminded me not to blindly trust the process and to be more critical of the new coaching staff when it's appropriate.

I'm thankful that the Bills don't play on Thanksgiving. I like to enjoy my holidays and unfortunately when the Bills are on, I'm more maniac than human which is not a good look when with the wife's family on Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for alcohol. It makes certain Sunday's a little more palpable.

I'm thankful that a nuclear war has yet to break out between North Korea and the United States. I would like to witness a Bills Super Bowl victory before the world is destroyed.

Lastly and most importantly, I'm thankful for every last member of Bills Mafia. Talking, arguing, discussing, getting angry, laughing, crying, and celebrating with you on twitter before/during/after Bills games and all year round is one of the most enjoyable things I do and I couldn't do it without the rest of you. So cheers to you and may you and your families have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving! (not too healthy because that food is delicious!)
