Bills ready for Super Bowl after big win in 4th preseason game

After a tumultuous 0-3 start in the preseason to the Sean McDermott era, the Buffalo Bills finally righted the ship winning their fourth and final preseason game over the Detroit Lions 27 to 17.

This inspired victory, in a game where hardly anyone who matters played, is sure to set up an inevitable Super Bowl run for the Bills this year. It's amazing how 17 years of playoff futility can be erased with just one preseason win.

The Bills have not only essentially clinched a regular season playoff berth but after this win they are so sure of themselves they have already booked a block of rooms in Minneapolis during Super Bowl week.

The future could not look brighter in Buffalo despite a shuffling of the roster that had the fans on edge during the preseason. Rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman completed 43 passes on 79 attempts for a 54.4 percent completion percentage during the preseason according to FoxSports.com. He tossed one touchdown with no interceptions for 457 yards or a 5.7 yard average per pass. With preseason stats like those, there is no question he's going to Canton one day to be immortalized with the former greats of the game.

Just a few short weeks ago the Bills were in turmoil with a struggling offense, a few key injuries, a major roster upheaveal and an 0-3 preseason record. It's amazing how the Buffalo Bills have managed to circle the wagons once again, with their preseason victory over the Detroit Lions. Book your flights to Minneapolis now Bills fans, because we all know performance in your fourth preseason game correlates 100 percent to regular season success.
